Raffuse Creek Exploration

I’ve been meaning to post this creeking mission for a few months ago now and while there is so much media on the new Project X this seems like the perfect time! Back in May Shane Robinson, Todd Gillman and Utah were planning a trip near Skookum when they found a gate open for a logging road. A mile on and they parked up, hiked in and paddled the creek:

This site is sick with a lot of good media – well worth looking through!

Stolen from the rangelife, nice to see you even stole the text too. Well done, great contribution to the sport, stealing peoples photos.
I think you’ve missed the point a bit ken, We are certainly not trying to steal anyones work but to produce a gateway to it so more people can enjoy it as much as we do. There are around a hundred people a day visiting this site at the moment and I doubt many of them would have recognized Lucas Gilman or went on to look at his site if we hadn’t written this post.
We always include everyones names, add links and praise the work. We also re-write everything ourselves and use quotations where necessary. We separate everything into two categories, KayakKulture Entries and Blog Entries to try and make it as clear as possible where everything has come from.
Lots of other major kayaking websites update their news sections in a similar fashion using rss feeds and I don’t see how this is any different. Take a look at some other news-blog style websites in other extreme sports and you might understand more of where we’re coming from, it just hasn’t really happened yet in kayaking.
Take it easy, Paul
